As we count down to CES 2025, we continue our interview series featuring XREAL’s incredible team of visionaries. These leaders are at the forefront of augmented reality innovation, pushing the boundaries of technology and design.

Today, we’re spotlighting Xindi, the Head of UX Design at XREAL. With over five years of experience at the company, Xindi has been instrumental in transforming cutting-edge concepts into user-friendly products. His focus on refining every detail ensures that XREAL’s users enjoy a seamless and futuristic experience.

Question: Who are you, and what do you do at XREAL? 

Xindi Liu: I am Xindi Liu. I lead UX Design at XREAL, focusing on product experience innovation and collaborating with the product team to refine and enhance every detail. I recently passed my five-year anniversary with XREAL—time flies when you’re building the future!

Question: What is, in your opinion, the most exciting development from this year (2024)?

Xindi Liu: This year, we explored many exciting demos and concepts, but the real thrill comes from seeing them evolve into products that reach our users—like XREAL One and XREAL One Pro. Collaborating with the product and R&D teams to bring these ideas to life and make them a reality has been the most exciting part of the journey.

Question: In your role, what are you bringing to CES 2025?

Xindi Liu:  Our vibrant XREAL team is bringing a range of exciting product experiences to CES 2025, including the upgraded Spatial Life experience with 6DoF, offering a familiar yet futuristic feel. I’ll be in this section, and you can find us in the AR/VR area of the LVCC Central Hall, Booth #14056—looking forward to seeing you there!

Question: What’s your favorite XREAL device of all time?

Xindi Liu: I’m attached to every XREAL device, but if I had to choose, the One Pro with the X1 chip stands out as a significant leap in Spatial Display. However, I’m particularly excited about the XREAL Air 2 Ultra—its 6DoF capabilities truly reflect XREAL’s vision for Spatial Computing. And of course, the recent collaboration with Android XR is something to look forward to!

Question: What’s something outside of the  XREAL  booth that you’re hoping to see or learn more about at CES 2025? 

Xindi Liu: Ah, this year there’s bound to be even more AR and AI-powered glasses, and I’d love to find some time to get hands-on with them. I’m also curious about innovations from TV brands, as virtual displays are so closely connected to what we do. And perhaps mini PCs or handheld gaming consoles? They pair perfectly with our glasses for an ultra-portable entertainment setup!
